Winter is coming, and that means the season of high energy bills is upon us. I know I don’t have money to waste, especially as I start thinking about holiday shopping, and I’m sure you don’t, either. There are some things we can do, though, to give ourselves the gift of lower power bills. For that matter, taking steps to save energy can save our employers money, too, and that might help your odds of getting a holiday bonus this year! Here are some good habits to get into and steps to take now to help cut energy costs as the cold weather sets in.
Keeping your house clean can certainly be a challenge sometimes, especially when you have two young boys running around the house like I do. Not only do they take up plenty of my time and attention, but it seems like everywhere they go, they leave messes behind! Cleaning the house can also take a chunk out of your household budget, since cleaning supplies can be pricey, and goodness knows our grocery bill’s high enough. But it doesn’t have to be this way: I make a lot of my own cleaning supplies, using things that I already keep around the house. Not only is it cheaper to use these simple tricks for keeping your house clean, but it’s simple and it’s eco-friendly, too.
