Have A NYC Adventure Without Leaving Your Neighborhood
Living in New York City, it can be easy to take for granted everything that’s right here in our backyard. People in other places would surely kill for the opportunities we have to see and experience so many things without even needing a car, and yet; how often have you found yourself lying around the house, feeling bored and restless? Worse, how many times have you heard your kids whine, “There’s nothing to do”? When this happens, pack up the kids and head outside: There’s a world of adventures to be had right in your backyard when you live in New York City, and here are some ideas to get you started.
You’re Not Cleaning These 5 Essential Areas
I like to think that I know a fair bit about cleaning; after all, I’ve spent plenty of years earning my stripes with cleaning services. New York City can be a pretty dirty place, but like most people, I do my best to keep my home neat and clean (though having two young boys in the house can make that a challenge!). But even I’m not always perfect, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s occasionally overlooked something that really could have used a good scrubbing sooner. You might think it’s not a big deal, but the little things you forget to clean can actually come back to haunt you, making you sick. Here are some reminders for you: Have you cleaned these things lately?
Unleash The Power of Green In Your Cleaning Routine
Keeping your house clean can certainly be a challenge sometimes, especially when you have two young boys running around the house like I do. Not only do they take up plenty of my time and attention, but it seems like everywhere they go, they leave messes behind! Cleaning the house can also take a chunk out of your household budget, since cleaning supplies can be pricey, and goodness knows our grocery bill’s high enough. But it doesn’t have to be this way: I make a lot of my own cleaning supplies, using things that I already keep around the house. Not only is it cheaper to use these simple tricks for keeping your house clean, but it’s simple and it’s eco-friendly, too.
How To Experience NYC Like a Local
When I first moved to New York City, I looked forward to living near all of the landmarks I’d seen on TV growing up. I could go visit the Statue of Liberty! And Central Park! And the Empire State Building! I was so excited, and I must’ve looked like such a tourist in those first few months, traipsing around the city gawking at the famous places that were now practically in my backyard. But the longer I lived here, the more I realized that some of the coolest places are the ones that aren’t on TV. There’s a lot more to the Big Apple once you look closer, and here are a few of my favorite lesser-known spots that are more appreciated by the locals than tourists:
Hidden Hazards Lurking At Your Desk
Sometimes, working an office job can be a real pain. It’s not that I don’t like what I do, of course: On the contrary, I love working for one of the best cleaning services New York City has to offer. But while you wouldn’t think that office work would be physically taxing, sitting at a desk all day can really do a number on your body! Luckily, there are some simple steps you can take to minimize the negative effects and get through the work day unscathed.
